Based in Mammoth Lakes, California, Blizzard Fire Protection holds licenses with the State, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, the City of Bishop, and Inyo and Mono Counties.

Founded in 2011 by Rick Terrell, Blizzard Fire Protection was established after Rick recognized a need for local fire protection services. Before founding the company, Rick served 30 years with the Mammoth Lakes Fire Department.

In 2024, Rick sold Blizzard Fire Protection to Chris and Lindsey Sherer. The Sherers are lifelong California residents and have called Mono County home since 2015. Chris brings extensive experience in the fire industry, having specialized in wildland fire suppression and forest rehabilitation since 2017.

The Sherers are committed to delivering honest, professional service, and supporting the local community while upholding the highest standards of quality and care.
